Tips and Tricks

There are a couple tips and tricks I wish I knew as a beginner. Here they are:

Yarn and hooks:

Yarn and hooks vary from project to project. Yarn size does not really matter when crocheting, but hook size does. You can pick what size you like or you can look for the recommended size which is usually on the yarn wrapping.  I recommend the ones with the colourful case 0ver the metal because they are way more comfy.

Other gadgets include needles, stitch markers and scissors. You can buy them on Amazon or at Michaels.

Another thing is eyes for your creatures. You can buy them on Amazon and they are called Safety Eyes. They are super easy to install and look super cute! Here is the link to buy them: https://www.amazon.ca/sk=safety+eurs&crid=2L10AE1KYVBI2&sprefix=safety+%2Caps%2C1058&ref=nb_sb_noss_2

Stitch makers play a huge role in crochet organization, so I highly reccomend that you use them. Here is a link on how to use them: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bexEvrFjjKg

You will need stuffing to stuff your creatures as well. It is also smart to reuse your yarn scraps and using them to stuff other creatures you create! Another thing is changing color. If you buy a Woobles kit, it will teach you, but if not, here is a video: https://thewoobles.com/pages/how-to-change-colors-crocheting-in-the-round

New crochet lingo: No sew. No sew means no attaching other parts to your project. For example, you dont have to sew wings on a creature.

If you have any other questions, please comment them!
